Your privacy matters. LinkScope is designed to work without accounts and keeps your data on your device.
1Information we collect
LinkScope does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address or contacts. We do not use advertising identifiers or third-party analytics.
2Links you check
When you check a link, your device connects directly to that website to inspect it — exactly like opening it in a browser, without rendering the page. The link is not sent to our servers. We do not operate servers that receive the links you check.
3Safety lookups
To spot scams, LinkScope looks up when a link's domain was registered in public domain registries (RDAP, via rdap.org) and checks the link against Google's list of dangerous sites (Google Web Risk). For this check, the link's address is sent to Google. These lookups never include anything that identifies you. See policies.google.com/privacy for Google's privacy policy.
4Scam text filter
If you turn on LinkScope's SMS filter in Settings, iOS shows it the text and sender of messages from numbers that aren't in your contacts so it can sort scams into Junk. This happens entirely on your iPhone: the filter can't save messages, has no network access and never sends them to us or anyone else.
5Check history
Your check history is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. You can delete individual items or your entire history at any time from the History tab or Settings. Deleting the app removes all history.
6Purchases
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage access to Pro features. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts, never your payment details. See revenuecat.com/privacy for details.
7Data sharing
We do not sell, rent or share personal information. RevenueCat processes purchases as described above, and the safety lookups described in section 3 contain no personal information.
8Children
LinkScope is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
9Your rights
Because LinkScope keeps your data on your device, you are always in control of it: you can view and delete your history in the app at any time. For any request regarding purchase data held by RevenueCat, contact us and we will help.
10Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
